Across The Street LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Scan2Wallet mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
We built Scan2Wallet to be simple and private. You do not need to create an account to use it.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require you to sign up, log in, or provide your name, email address, or any personal account information to use the App. We do not maintain a server-side database of your cards or passes.
Information Processed on Your Device
- Scanned cards and codes. When you scan a loyalty card, gift card, ticket, barcode, or QR code, the App reads the code using your device's camera and creates an Apple Wallet pass. This information is processed on your device and saved directly into Apple Wallet. We do not transmit or store your card data on our servers.
- Camera. The App uses your camera only to scan codes. Camera images are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us.
- Photo library. If you choose to scan a code from an existing image, the App accesses only the photo you select. We do not access or upload your photo library.
- Location. The App may request location access so that Apple Wallet can show the relevant pass on your lock screen when you are near a store. Location is handled by your device and Apple Wallet. We do not collect or store your location.
Apple Wallet
Passes you create are stored in Apple Wallet, which is part of iOS and managed by Apple. Your use of Apple Wallet is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The free version of the App displays advertisements. We use Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google, to serve ads. AdMob may collect and use certain information (such as device identifiers and advertising identifiers) to deliver and measure ads. This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn about Google's ad practices and controls at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
We may also display our own ("house") ads. To serve ads appropriate to your region, our ad service may receive your approximate country, which is derived from your IP address at the time of the request. We do not use this to identify you personally.
Tracking and the App Tracking Transparency Prompt
Depending on your choices, the App may ask for your permission to track using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you do not grant permission, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Remove Ads Purchase
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security
Because your cards and passes are stored on your device and in Apple Wallet rather than on our servers, your information stays under your control and the protections of your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
